WPL worked in coordination with McKim and Creed, and engineering consulting firm in Virginia Beach to help modify the Chesapeake site of one of the largest Steel Recycling Plants in Australia. The site is located in the industrial district of Chesapeake. Challenges to the site include determining the correct plant material for a harsh industrial environment. The site had a high volume of vehicle traffic, large recycling equipment as well as being neighbor to a fertilizer manufacturing plant. The site is located along the Elizabeth River in the cities Resource Management Area (RMA). WPL worked in coordination with the City of Chesapeake to determine viable plantings for the site.
